There was a long period where Tumblr was banned at my gym. I couldn’t get a 3G signal here and their wifi network always redirected me to a page saying, “Access to this website is prohibited. It is a known source of viruses and malware.”

I seriously doubt the malware thing. I assumed that the huge volume of porn on Tumblr got it blacklisted. Which is funny in a way.

That period was very frustrating. I mostly twittered and watched YouTube or TED.. I wasn’t exactly going to approach the gym and demand access to a website that they had deemed pornographic or malicious.

So I’m glad that I can now access all my social media accounts at the gym.

Also, I’m not going to lie, it felt funny for about 5 minutes after I entered 40 as my age on the elliptical.
