Happy Bloomsday!
James Joyce’s book Ulysses was set on June 16th, 1904. His fans like to celebrate the day, which is named Bloomsday after the protagonist Leopold Bloom.
Some fans will celebrate it by taking the day off and going to book readings.
Others will walk through Dublin and watch actors reenact the book “in real time” at various places throughout the city.
